Handmade paper for a double-sided panels of a foldable door. Both sides began with a base layer of kozo fibers (mulberry bark).
表 - Front
Using a hose spray free-handedly, the force of the water formed waves of negative space suggestive of waves or a mountainous landscape. Hand-poured gampi fibers added subtle shifts of translucency, texture, and color.
裏 - Back
With bits of outer bark remaining, cooked but not yet beaten kozo bark was laid out onto the snowy base. Fine kozo fibers were hand poured over, embedding the bark, leaving some areas submerged.
