2017 | Studio Kura | Fukuoka, Japan

Created during a month-long artist residency at Studio Kura in Fukuoka, Japan. Surrounded by rice fields, mountains and the ocean with limited supplies to work with, it was the perfect place to slow down and focus on materiality and setting.

hanging laundry is a space reflecting this particular flow of time in Itoshima - of laundry drying in the backyard. And in this case, kozo!
